Job summary
Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin, TX seeks an Implant Equipment Technician to help maintain state-of-the-art semiconductor production equipment, driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost of ownership. You will work in a 24/7 high-volume fab, upholding safety while learning and improving processes.
Role involves training on 300mm AMAT and other major platforms, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, SOP adherence, and data extraction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; technical degree or military technical experience preferred.
- 2+ years of industrial manufacturing or similar experience.
- Experience with semiconductor equipment and listed platforms preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on Implant and Anneal tool sets.
- Follow SOPs, PTPs, and OCAPs to work safely and efficiently.
- Perform PM and BM on implant equipment and assemblies.
- Learn tool GUIs and data extraction for diagnostics.
- Cross-train on related ion-implantation and rapid thermal processing equipment.
- Maintain 24/7 high-volume manufacturing operations.
