Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Equipment Engineer to support implant equipment and process capabilities for 300mm tools in Taylor, TX. You will install and keep tools running at peak efficiency, drive yield improvements and cost reductions in a fast-paced startup environment.

You will collaborate with major vendors, lead cross-functional improvements, and ensure readiness for 24/7 operations with strong troubleshooting and data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industry experience as a Tool Owner within Implant.
• Degree in Electrical, Chemical, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering (BS/MS).
• Strong understanding of Implant role within wafer fabrication and failure modes.
• Excellent troubleshooting using data and structured problem solving.
• Willingness to support 24/7 high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation to qualify Implant equipment and meet production readiness timelines.
• Maintain equipment uptime through real-time issue resolution and continuous improvements.
• Revise SOPs, document tool activity, and capture lessons learned for operations.
• Collaborate with major equipment vendors for issues, new product introductions, and improvements.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve yield and reduce wafer loss.
