Baylor College of Medicine's Center for Advanced Innate Cell Therapy seeks a Research Assistant II to join an interdisciplinary team developing novel cancer immunotherapies. The role focuses on flow cytometry immunophenotyping, functional analyses of immune effector cells, and mentorship of junior staff.

You will work with translational research techniques, genetic engineering, and oncological/immunological disease models in state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or a related field.
• Three years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree in basic science or a related field (preferred).
• Three years of experience in molecular biology and T cell immunology (preferred).

Aufgaben

• Designs, plans, and performs experiments in the AICT lab.
• Processes peripheral blood, isolates mononuclear cells and subsets.
• Performs lymphocyte expansion in culture.
• Performs retroviral and lentiviral transduction of cultured cells.
• Performs immunofluorescent staining and flow cytometry analysis.
• Analyzes flow cytometry data with FlowJo and DIVA.
• Performs nucleofections and CRISPR knock-ins in primary T cells.
• Designs DNA constructs using SnapGene.
• Generates tumor organoids and monitors treatment responses with Incucyte.
• Documents results and reports to investigators.
• Trains and orients less experienced staff.
• Contributes to maintenance of lab equipment including flow cytometer.
