Job summary

Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks a BMET III to support imaging equipment maintenance across healthcare sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and safety inspections, repairing complex radiology systems when needed and coordinating with manufacturers to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has extensive radiology repair experience, strong customer service skills, and is willing to be on-call.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics/Imaging Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or military training.
• Seven to ten years of experience with various imaging equipment manufacturers or related experience.
• Seven years of radiology equipment repair and biomedical experience.
• Specialized knowledge in modalities such as radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, cath. labs, linear accelerators.
• Certifications in modalities (e.g., CRES) preferred.
• Good communication and strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to serve on-call and be a technical resource for others.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations where certification may be required and electrical safety inspections on imaging and related equipment in compliance with standards.
• Perform major repairs by replacing defective components and readjust components to manufacturer specifications.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging cross training of BMET Technicians.
• Confer with manufacturer representatives and equipment operators to resolve equipment related problems.
• Provide emergency on-call responsibilities.
• Research and initiate orders for repair parts within budget parameters.
• Conduct QA records and reports for compliance with specifications and policies.
• Document all significant asset actions in department records.
• Capable of performing all duties of a BMET III.
