Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a BMET professional to maintain and repair hospital imaging equipment across facilities. The role supports patient care by ensuring high uptime and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, major repairs, on-call duties, and collaboration with manufacturers. The ideal candidate has extensive imaging repair experience and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or military training in a relevant field.
  • Seven to ten years experience with imaging equipment repair.
  • Experience across modalities such as radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, cath lab, linear accelerators.
  • Certification (CRES) in modalities is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations where certification may be required and electrical safety inspections on imaging equipment per standards.
  • Perform major repairs by replacing defective components and readjust components to manufacturer specifications.
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging cross training of BMET Technicians.
  • Resolve equipment-related problems with manufacturers’ representatives and operators.
  • Provide emergency on-call responsibilities.
  • Research and initiate orders for repair parts within established budgets.
  • Document all significant asset actions per department practices.
  • Must be capable of performing all duties of a BMET III.
