Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Sherman, TX, is seeking an experienced device development engineer to manage new device projects from concept through transfer to production. You will design and simulate epitaxial structures, define unit processes, create test structures, and drive reliability and yield improvements.

Applicants should have an MS in EE with 5 years of relevant experience; PhD is preferred with 2 years. Deep knowledge of III-V devices, TCAD, and cross-functional teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• MS in Electrical Engineering or related field; 5 years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred with 2 years of experience.
• Deep knowledge of III-V semiconductor devices, TCAD, fab processes, testing, and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Manage new device development projects from concept to production transfer.
• Define and specify device technology requirements for product roadmap.
• Design and simulate epitaxial structures and test structures for characterization.
• Define unit process requirements and wafer fab process flows.
• Perform DC, small-signal RF, and optical testing and data analysis.
• Collaborate with quality to meet reliability requirements.
• Create documentation for technology transfer to manufacturing.
