Job summary

Coherent Corp. seeks a skilled PECVD Process Engineer to own and optimize GaAs and InP device manufacturing processes. You will characterize, troubleshoot, and collaborate across R&D, production, and equipment teams to drive yield and reliability.

You will apply SPC/DOE and manage tool performance, with interface to vendors for upgrades and support. On-site role in Texas with a focus on high-volume semiconductor fabrication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in semiconductor PECVD or thin films process engineering.
• Strong knowledge of PECVD films and process parameters.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the process owner for PECVD, developing, sustaining, and optimizing processes for GaAs and InP device manufacturing.
• Conduct process characterization and troubleshooting with R&D, production, and equipment teams.
• Apply SPC and DOE to monitor and improve process stability and yield.
• Interface with equipment vendors to evaluate tool performance and upgrades.
