Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking a Senior Lease & Fixed Asset Accountant to oversee IFRS 16 lease accounting, fixed asset management, and capital expenditure reporting. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient processes for recognition, measurement, and reporting of leased and owned assets across project sites.

The role partners with Regional Finance, General Accounting, Treasury, Equipment Operations, and Financial Reporting to support business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Experience with IFRS reporting and lease accounting is required.
• CPA certification or active licensure pursuit is preferred.
• 3–4 years in accounting, financial reporting, or technical accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all lease accounting per IFRS 16, including recognition and disclosures.
• Manage fixed asset accounting: capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and WIP.
• Coordinate CAPEX planning and forecasting; support budgeting and variance analyses.
• Partner with regional finance, treasury, and operations for accounting guidance and audits.
