Job summary

EY is seeking an Identity Verification Engineer to design, implement, and operate identity proofing and passwordless authentication. The role focuses on 1Kosmos BlockID, Microsoft Verified ID, and integration with Entra ID / Azure AD, IdRamp, CLEAR, and other IAM platforms.

You will support onboarding workflows, ensure security controls, and collaborate with architects and cybersecurity teams. Responsibilities include deploying proofing and biometric solutions, configuring SAML/OAuth/OIDC/SCIM,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3-5+ years IAM experience.
• 2+ years hands-on 1Kosmos or Microsoft Verified ID implementation experience.
• Experience implementing identity proofing, passwordless authentication, and biometric verification solutions.
• Experience with enterprise identity lifecycle management and user onboarding processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement identity proofing workflows using 1Kosmos or Microsoft Verified ID.
• Configure and support document verification, biometric authentication, liveness detection, and identity assurance controls.
• Implement IAL2-grade identity proofing per NIST 800-63.
• Support onboarding journeys for employees, contractors, vendors, and privileged users.
• Configure and administer 1Kosmos BlockID and related services.
• Manage enrollment, credential issuance, and authentication workflows.
• Integrate IdRamp and CLEAR with Microsoft Entra for orchestration and biometrics verification.
• Monitor platform health and troubleshoot issues.
• Integrate IAM platforms and ITSM tools with cloud and on-prem environments.
• Develop API-based integrations and configure SAML, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Implement passwordless authentication strategies using biometrics, mobile authenticators, and FIDO2.
• Ensure compliance with security requirements and industry standards.
• Participate in architecture reviews and solution delivery.
