Job summary

SimplePractice is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager in Santa Monica to lead and support engineers in designing high-quality software for our health tech products. You will set technical direction, grow your team, and partner with product, design, and other stakeholders to turn requirements into reliable software for customers.

You will balance building robust systems with delivering the right features, mentoring engineers across backgrounds, and maintaining high performance in a remote/hybrid

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering high-quality software products as a software engineer.
• 5+ years managing software engineers, with ownership of hiring, performance, and technical direction.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of engineers, fostering collaboration and supporting their growth.
• Set the technical direction for your squad and translate it into a clear plan.
• Own architectural decisions across the full stack, from data models to APIs and front-end.
• Partner with product and design to shape the roadmap and set high standards.
• Provide mentorship to engineers across backgrounds.
• Set performance expectations and provide timely feedback.
• Promote engineering best practices across the team.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams in a remote/hybrid environment.
