Job summary

Vanguard seeks a Lead Identity Platform Engineer to drive strategy, architecture, and evolution of the enterprise Workforce Identity Platform. This hybrid role guides senior technical decisions and champions automation across identity services.

You will mentor engineers and partner with stakeholders to design scalable, secure identity solutions that enable enterprise growth and transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
• 10+ years in Identity and Access Management or related disciplines.
• 5+ years designing, engineering, and operating enterprise-scale workforce identity platforms.
• Proven experience leading large-scale identity transformation or platform engineering initiatives.
• Demonstrated success as both solution architect and hands-on engineer in complex environments.
• Strong experience designing scalable identity architectures and authentication frameworks.
• Deep expertise in automation and IaC practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, engineering, and strategic direction of the enterprise Workforce Identity Platform.
• Design scalable identity, authentication, and access management solutions that meet enterprise requirements.
• Serve as the senior technical expert for identity platform design, integration, and modernization initiatives.
• Drive the adoption of engineering best practices, platform standards, and automation across identity services.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment capabilities.
• Lead complex, enterprise-wide identity programs from design through implementation and operational transition.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams to define identity requirements.
• Mentor and develop engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and coaching.
• Establish platform roadmaps, architectural patterns, and long-term strategies.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to improve capabilities and efficiency.
