Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a senior Identity Platform Engineer to design, implement, and operate scalable Okta-based identity services across the enterprise. You will partner with cloud, security, and application teams to deliver secure access, automate onboarding, and improve reliability.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and driving continuous improvement in authentication, authorization, and provisioning, with a focus on reducing operational risk and enabling rapid scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in large-scale identity or security platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field; two Okta certifications are preferred.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Okta Workforce Identity Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-scale identity solutions leveraging Okta Workforce Identity.
• Lead onboarding initiatives including SAML, OIDC/OAuth, SCIM provisioning, federation, lifecycle management, and authentication integrations.
• Develop scalable identity architectures that improve security, operational efficiency, and user experience.
• Partner with cloud and platform engineering teams to integrate identity controls across enterprise platforms and cloud environments.
