Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior ICT Design Engineer (L6) to lead ICT design strategy and standards for global data center projects. You will drive cross-discipline coordination and mentor engineers across multiple regions and teams.

You will own complex, multi-site ICT design programs, shape standards, engage suppliers, and influence infrastructure architecture at scale, ensuring cost efficiency and long-term resilience of AWS infrastructure worldwide.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities (data centers, power generation, or telecommunications).
• 5+ years of ICT design experience in Mission Critical Environments with ownership of complex, multi-site design programs.
• 5+ years of experience developing and leading the production of design documentation for construction and/or permitting.
• 7+ years hands-on experience with fiber optic components, cabling, interconnect products, technologies, and applicable standards (TIA-568, TIA-569, TIA-942, BICSI TDMM/OSPDRM).
• Demonstrated experience driving engineering standards, design best practices, or process improvements across a team or organization.
• Experience leading cross-discipline design coordination in a large-scale infrastructure or construction program.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• BICSI RCDD Certification or equivalent (if stated in Preferred qualifications)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable ICT plant designs across multiple builds and regions.
• Own the ICT architecture for complex, large-scale data center programs, including greenfield, BTS, and colocation projects.
• Drive development and continual improvement of ICT design standards, templates, and QA/QC checklists.
• Identify and resolve cross-discipline coordination challenges involving civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and security systems.
• Travel 25%+ to conduct site visits, lead design reviews, and validate ICT infrastructure at AWS data centers globally.
