Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior ICT Design Engineer to lead ICT design strategy and standards across multi-site data center projects worldwide. You will mentor teams and drive cross-discipline coordination to enable scalable, cost-efficient infrastructure.

You will review complex submittals, define engineering standards, and champion emerging technologies while balancing long-term architectural consistency with project delivery. This role travels to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years in industrial/commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities (data centers, power, or telecom infrastructure).
• 5+ years ICT design in mission critical environments with multi-site ownership.
• 5+ years producing design docs (plans, specs, QA/QC) for construction/permitting.
• 7+ years experience with fiber optic components, cabling, interconnects; knowledge of TIA/BICSI standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable ICT designs across multiple builds and regions.
• Own ICT architecture for large data center programs including BTS and colocation environments.
• Drive ICT design standards, templates, and QA/QC checklists across the global organization.
• Resolve cross-discipline coordination challenges among civil, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and security systems.
• Lead design milestone reviews (30%, 60%, 90%, 100%) and provide technical feedback to elevate design quality.
