Job summary

Amazon AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Senior ICT Design Engineer to lead ICT design across multiple global data center builds. You will set standards, coordinate with civil, electrical, architectural, security, and other teams, and mentor engineers to raise design quality and efficiency.

You will own complex, multi-site ICT design programs, drive standardization, and influence procurement strategies while ensuring constructibility and cost efficiency across AWS facilities worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of ICT design experience in mission-critical facilities.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with fiber optic components, cabling, interconnect products, technologies, and applicable standards (TIA-568, TIA-569, TIA-942, BICSI TDMM/OSPDRM).
• Experience driving engineering standards, design best practices, or process improvements across a team or organization.
• Experience leading cross-discipline design coordination in a large-scale infrastructure or construction program.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable ICT designs for multi-site data centers.
• Own ICT architecture for complex data center programs and coordinate with civil, electrical, architectural, and security teams.
• Drive development and improvement of ICT design standards, templates, and QA/QC checklists used across the organization.
• Review and approve ICT pathway, cabling, and equipment submittals for compliance with AWS standards and codes.
• Travel 25%+ to conduct site visits, lead in-person design reviews, and validate ICT infrastructure across AWS data centers.
