Job summary

Cays Inc in Oklahoma City seeks an experienced AS400/IBM i developer to maintain and modernize legacy applications. You will work with RPG IV, RPGLE, CL and SQL on DB2 for i, in a hosted/managed environment, coordinating with hosting providers and ensuring security, job scheduling, and backups.

Strong familiarity with FTP/SFTP and disaster recovery testing is a plus for this role. The position requires hands-on experience in IBM i administration and system integration tasks.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of AS400 (IBM i) development and support.
• Proficiency in RPG IV, RPGLE, CL, and SQL on DB2 for i.
• Experience with hosted/managed AS400 environments.
• IBM i work management, subsystems, and security administration.
• Strong file transfer automation (FTP/SFTP) background.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, modify, and optimize legacy RPG/CL code.
• Investigate and troubleshoot operational bugs and batch issues.
• Coordinate hosting provider maintenance and environmental changes.
• Manage IBM i work management, subsystems, and security.
• Ensure backups and DR testing in coordination with hosting teams.
