I8IS - Infiniti Software Solutions seeks a Senior IBM i Infrastructure Engineer to lead AI-enabled modernization and vulnerability patching on IBMi (iSeries) systems in a hybrid environment. The role combines hands-on engineering with automation and security remediation across on-prem and cloud-adjacent infrastructure.

The position is based in Charlotte NC with Plano TX and Chandler AZ as hybrid sites, requiring 3 days onsite per week and 2 days remote, and offers a 12+ month contract with

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IBMi(iSeries) infrastructure engineering installation and testing.
• Hands-on experience developing AI/agent-based automation frameworks and agents.
• Strong Python programming skills in enterprise environments.
• Experience developing and integrating with IBMi(iSeries) APIs.

Responsibilities

• Senior engineer driving AI-enabled modernization of IBMi(iSeries) vulnerability patching through development of agent-based automation to accelerate remediation and reduce security risk.
• Lead the design and development of AI-driven automation frameworks for IBMi(iSeries) OS patching.
• Build and deploy agent-based workflows to orchestrate vulnerability remediation at scale.
• Integrate AI agents with IBMi(iSeries) systems, APIs, and security tooling.
• Partner with infrastructure and security teams to prioritize and execute patching initiatives.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and operational readiness of automation solutions.

Pay Range: $60/hr on W2
