Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking an experienced AS400 / IBM i Infrastructure Analyst to join its Phoenix-area team on-site. You will own IBM i environments, perform upgrades, monitoring, security, and DR readiness, and collaborate with application, database, and operations teams to ensure high availability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IBM i administration, Power Systems experience, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

5+ years of IBM i administration experience.
Experience with IBM Power Systems environments.
Strong knowledge of IBM i operating system administration.
Experience with PTF implementation and OS upgrades.
Backup and recovery administration experience.
Performance monitoring and capacity planning experience.
Understanding of IBM i security administration.
Experience supporting production environments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

Administer and support IBM i infrastructure platforms.
Monitor performance and system health.
Implement upgrades, patches, and system changes.
Manage user access and security controls.
Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
Automate operational tasks where appropriate.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Partner with multiple infrastructure and application teams.
