Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Principal, Identity & Access Management (IAM) Strategy & Product Management to define the strategic vision, roadmap, and governance for IAM across the enterprise. You will partner with cyber security leadership, technology teams, risk, compliance, and audit to advance maturity and adoption of IAM services.

You will lead strategic planning, capability development, and transformation across IAM domains such as IGA, PAM, Access Controls, and Directory Services,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10-15+ years in Cyber Security, IAM, Product Management, Technology Strategy, or related disciplines.
• Extensive experience leading enterprise-scale IAM initiatives and transformation programs.
• Deep understanding of IAM architecture, operating models, governance, and industry best practices.
• Experience developing technology strategy, business cases, and executive-level presentations.
• Strong leadership, influence, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic roadmaps and long-term plans.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the multi-year IAM strategy, roadmap, and capability maturity plan.
• Own product strategy and lifecycle management for assigned IAM capabilities and services.
• Lead governance forums, steering committee discussions, and strategic planning sessions.
• Identify emerging identity trends, technologies, and industry best practices to inform strategic direction.
• Develop business cases, strategic recommendations, and executive presentations to support IAM priorities and roadmap decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and security outcomes.
