Job summary

Boston Scientific Corporation in Arden Hills, MN, is seeking a Senior Information Security Manager to lead Identity & Access Management across Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID in a hybrid, global environment.

You will drive modernization initiatives, strengthen security controls, and oversee domain controllers, authentication, backup, and resilience while coordinating with Infrastructure, Cloud and Security teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 8 years in identity and access management, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, cybersecurity or identity engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing highly technical engineering teams, including senior-level contributors.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory architecture and operations, domain controllers, replication, authentication, Group Policy, DNS, monitoring, backup and recovery.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, modern authentication, Conditional Access, PIM and hybrid identity architectures.
• Experience leading enterprise security remediation, platform resilience, disaster recovery or modernization initiatives.
• Understanding of Zero Trust, least-privilege, PIM and enterprise identity security practices.
• Proven ability to set priorities, manage risks and drive accountability for critical services.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, strategic planning and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop engineering teams responsible for AD, Entra ID and hybrid identity services.
• Define and execute identity platform strategies, roadmaps and modernization initiatives.
• Oversee AD engineering and operations including domain controller deployment, configuration and maintenance.
• Ensure monitoring, authentication, replication, DNS dependencies and recovery readiness.
• Maintain robust backup, recovery and resilience capabilities for identity services.
• Drive AD security hardening, lifecycle management and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate Windows Server patching and vulnerability remediation with Infrastructure teams.
• Ensure testing of OS-level changes and health verification post-deployment.
• Lead Entra ID engineering, including CA, MFA, passwordless and PIM implementations.
• Advance Zero Trust, least-privilege and secure identity practices enterprise-wide.
• Monitor service health, performance metrics and vulnerability management.
• Lead incident response, investigations and corrective actions for identity incidents.
• Foster engineering excellence, accountability and proactive risk management.
• Collaborate with IAM, Infrastructure, Cloud, Security Ops, EA, M365, OT and other teams to deliver secure identity services.
