Job summary

LinkedIn seeks an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) leader to architect and evolve enterprise IAM platforms. You will enable secure, scalable access across the organization and collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and Product teams to deliver identity solutions.

You will drive modernization of legacy systems, design for performance and compliance, and mentor engineers to foster innovation within a security-first culture.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in Identity & Access Management, including Active Directory and SSO.
• 5+ years in application security, authentication/authorization, cryptography, supply chain security and mobile security.
• 5+ years in security assessment methodologies (threat modeling, design reviews, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment).
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, GoLang or Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of enterprise IAM platforms and services for secure, scalable access across the organization.
• Engineer and deliver identity capabilities that improve security, user experience, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Drive modernization by re-architecting legacy identity systems into cloud-ready platforms.
• Design solutions for performance, reliability, scalability, and availability of identity infrastructure.
• Define and execute long-term strategy and roadmap for identity platforms aligned with security objectives.
• Partner with Security, Infrastructure, Product, and Engineering teams to integrate identity services into enterprise apps.
• Establish engineering best practices, standards, and governance for identity systems.
• Lead complex initiatives from concept to implementation, guiding cross-functional stakeholders.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to continuously improve identity architecture and platform capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Build platforms that support Zero Trust, strong authentication, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure identity systems meet compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Assess applications for vulnerabilities and design flaws; prioritize remediation.
