Job summary

Black & Veatch in Florida seeks a Senior I&C Engineer to lead automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities. You will build client relationships in Orlando, Miami, Tampa and other Florida cities and coordinate with design teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 11+ years of related experience, an active engineering license, and experience in project management and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• 11+ years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration/licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects.

Responsibilities

• Create relationships with clients in the Orlando, Miami, Ft. Myers, and Tampa, Florida area and act as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams.
• Manage and coordinate automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities.
• Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects and coordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi‑discipline projects.
• Provide local interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues.
• Monitor and control project schedule and budgets and assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities.
