Job summary

Jacobs in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to lead instrumentation and control design for utility-scale power projects. You will specify field instruments, develop control system descriptions, and work across DCS/SCADA environments on complex EPC engagements.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in design, consulting, or operations, PE license or ability to obtain, and proven client relationship skills. Hybrid work arrangement available with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in EE/ME/ChemE or related.
• 10+ years in design, consulting, or operations.
• Lead multi-person teams of engineers and designers.
• Experience with instrument specification, PLC/DCS, SCADA, and networks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications and drawings; write control system descriptions; assist startup/commissioning.
• Specify instruments (pressure/flow transmitters, switches, valves) for large power projects.
• Design SCADA/OT networks; integrate DCS/PLC systems with HMI and safety systems.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver complex design projects; contribute to proposals and client relationships.
