Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to lead utility-scale power projects, focusing on control systems, instrumentation specification, and SCADA/DCS networks. You will guide multi-disciplinary teams, deliver design concepts, and support startup and commissioning activities in a dynamic consulting environment.
The role requires 10+ years in design, consulting, or operations, PE eligibility, and strong client engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering field.
- At least 10 years of design, consulting, or operations experience.
- Ability to lead multi-person teams of engineers and designers.
- 10 years’ experience in instrument specification, DCS/PLC, P&ID, and SCADA networks.
- Experience with industrial DCS/PLC logic, graphics, and hardware implementation.
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams to deliver design, specifications, startup, and commissioning.
- Specify instrumentation (pressure/flow transmitters, switches, valves) for large projects.
- Design SCADA and OT networks including DCS/PLC, servers, switches, and firewalls.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate control concepts on large projects.
- Contribute to proposals, client relationships, and business development.
- Mentor junior staff and ensure health and safety in project execution.
