Job summary

Verto People is seeking an I&C Engineer to provide owner-side technical oversight on a power generation project in Texas. You will review instrumentation and controls designs, coordinate with engineering and site teams, and help resolve technical issues throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities include inspecting control system architectures, instrument specifications, and alarm schemes, ensuring turbine controls integrate with plant systems, and verifying fire and gas detection

Qualifications

10+ years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience in power or process plants.
Practical experience with distributed control systems and turbine control integration.
Working knowledge of ISA standards and functional safety.
Confidence reviewing technical documentation and coordinating with contractors and site teams.
A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.

Responsibilities

Review control system architecture, instrument specifications and design documentation.
Assess control narratives, logic diagrams and alarm arrangements.
Check integration between turbine controls and plant control systems.
Review designs for fire and gas detection systems.
Evaluate design changes and respond to technical queries from site.
Monitor engineering deliverables against project schedules.
Confirm storage and preservation requirements for instrumentation.
