Job summary

Verto People seeks an I&C Engineer to provide owner-side technical oversight on a power generation project in Texas. You will review instrumentation and controls designs, coordinate with engineering and site teams, and help resolve technical issues throughout project delivery.

Responsibilities include validating control architectures, narratives, alarms, and fire & gas systems while monitoring deliverables and preserving instrumentation data for long-term reliability.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of instrumentation and controls engineering experience in power or process plants.
• Experience with distributed control systems and turbine control integration.
• Knowledge of ISA standards and functional safety concepts.
• Ability to review technical documentation and coordinate with contractors and site teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Review control system architecture, instrument specifications and design documentation.
• Assess control narratives, logic diagrams and alarm arrangements.
• Check integration between turbine controls and plant control systems.
• Review designs for fire and gas detection systems.
• Evaluate design changes and respond to site technical queries.
• Monitor engineering deliverables against project schedules.
• Confirm storage and preservation requirements for instrumentation.
