Job summary

Verto People Ltd seeks an I&C Construction Manager to oversee instrumentation and controls installation on a power generation project in Texas. You will represent the owner, monitor contractor activities, ensure installation quality and resolve construction issues for system completion and handover.

Key responsibilities include overseeing field instrument installations, monitoring control cabinets, checking cabling and loop integrity, and reviewing work packages for constraints.

Qualifications

• 12+ years I&C construction experience in power or process plants.
• 5+ years supervisory experience.
• 5 years representing owner, overseeing EPC delivery under lump-sum contracts.
• Experience with distributed control systems and turbine control interfaces.
• ISA standards knowledge and hazardous area installation requirements.
• Engineering degree or equivalent field experience.

Verto People is recruiting an I&C Construction Manager to oversee instrumentation and controls installation on a power generation project.

Representing the owner, you’ll monitor contractor activities, check installation quality and resolve construction issues to support system completion and handover.

• Check instrument cabling, terminations and loop integrity.
• Oversee installation of fire and gas detection systems.
• Review work packages and identify scope gaps or constraints affecting progress.
• Participate in system walkdowns and track punch list items.
• Monitor storage and preservation of instruments and control equipment.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of I&C construction experience within power or process plants, including five years in supervisory roles.
• At least five years representing an owner and overseeing EPC delivery under lump-sum contracts.
• Practical experience with distributed control systems and turbine control interfaces.
• Working knowledge of ISA standards and hazardous area installation requirements.
• An engineering degree or equivalent field experience.

OSHA 30 and familiarity with digital construction documentation tools would be advantageous.
