Job summary

Verto People is seeking an I&C Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning and startup on a power generation project in Texas. Representing the owner, you’ll oversee testing of instrumentation and control systems and help resolve startup issues to confirm systems are ready for handover.

Candidates should have 10+ years of I&C commissioning experience in power plants. You will review commissioning procedures, witness calibration, loop checks and functional testing; verify control logic,

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of I&C commissioning experience in power generation or process plants.
• Practical experience with distributed control systems and turbine controls.
• Working knowledge of ISA standards.
• Ability to review test documentation and maintain clear commissioning records.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Review commissioning procedures for instrumentation and control systems.
• Witness instrument calibration, loop checks and functional testing.
• Verify control logic, alarms and turbine controls testing.
• Witness testing of fire and gas detection systems.
• Track outstanding issues and system readiness through turnover.
• Work with contractors and vendors to troubleshoot commissioning problems.
• Monitor instrument storage and preservation during commissioning.
