Job summary
Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Registered Instrumentation & Controls Engineer - Power Generation to lead the I&C discipline on major power projects. You will guide multi-discipline teams, develop execution plans, and oversee deliverables such as control narratives, diagrams, and data sheets across DCS, PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
The role requires a PE license, at least 11 years of related experience, and the ability to coordinate with clients, vendors, and construction teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; PE license required at hire.
- Minimum 11 years related engineering experience.
- Active PE or P.Eng. license to support Engineer of Record requirements.
- Travel may be project dependent.
Responsibilities
- Serve as I&C discipline lead on medium to large power generation projects.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate with clients and vendors.
- Develop discipline execution plans, schedules, staffing plans, and quality expectations.
- Oversee preparation and review of engineering deliverables (control narratives, P&IDs, data sheets).
- Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement.
