Leidos Defense is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to drive architectural design, hardware–software integration, and deployment of next-generation DoD initiatives. You will lead multi-disciplinary IPTs and translate complex concepts into flight-worthy hardware solutions.

The role requires 10+ years of systems engineering, leadership of engineering teams, and active Top Secret clearance. Travel up to 25% is required; U.S. Citizenship is a must.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in engineering with 10+ years systems engineering experience; or bachelor's with 12+ years.
• Experience as architect or technical lead for flight-worthy weapon systems.
• Strong knowledge of defense standards and practices.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams as IPT Lead, Product Owner, or Scrum Master.
• U.S. Citizenship and active Top Secret clearance.
• Ability to travel 25% or more.

Responsabilités

• Architect, lead, and deliver hypersonic vehicle designs and LRUs for missile systems.
• Support complex system designs using high-integrated multi-disciplinary integration techniques and WOSA frameworks.
• Direct multi-disciplinary Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and host weekly technical interchange meetings with subcontractors.
• Translate military standards into hardware requirements and support CAMs with technical write-ups and estimates.
• Act as test conductor or lead verification engineer for system-level test plans and launch-readiness actions.
