Leidos Defense is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, and deployment of next-generation hypersonic and weapon-system hardware for DoD initiatives. You will guide IPTs, translate standards into requirements, and ensure flight-worthy solutions across lifecycle stages.

Ideal candidate has a Master’s in engineering, 10+ years of systems engineering or 12+ years with a bachelor’s, and an active Top Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or related STEM field with 10+ years of systems engineering experience or a bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience.
• Proven background as an architect or technical lead creating flight-worthy weapon systems.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and IPTs within an agile framework.
• U.S. Citizenship and active Top Secret clearance required.

Responsabilités

• Architect and deliver hypersonic vehicle designs and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) for missile systems.
• Direct multi-disciplinary IPTs and act as primary technical authority.
• Translate military standards into rigorous hardware requirements and provide detailed technical write-ups.
