Leidos Defense is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to drive architectural design, hardware-software integration, and deployment of next-generation tactical systems for DoD initiatives. You will translate complex customer concepts into flight-ready hardware solutions and guide IPTs through entire hardware lifecycles.
The role requires a Master’s in engineering with 10+ years of SE experience or a Bachelor’s with 12+ years, active Top Secret clearance, and 25% travel.
Competenze
- Master’s degree in engineering or related STEM with 10+ years of systems engineering experience.
- Proven background as an architect or technical lead creating flight-worthy weapon systems.
- U.S. Citizenship and active Top Secret clearance required.
- Ability to travel 25% or more.
Mansioni
- Architect, lead, and deliver hypersonic vehicle designs and LRUs for missile systems.
- Support complex system designs using multi-disciplinary integration techniques and WOSA frameworks.
- Lead IPTs; provide technical direction and meet with external subcontractors.
- Translate military standards into hardware requirements and support CAMs with technical write-ups.
- Act as test conductor or lead verification engineer for system-level test plans and HWIL.
