Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc seeks a Hardware Security Engineer focused on Hyperscaler Security in Raleigh, NC. You will analyze system-to-silicon designs, guide multi-functional teams, and ensure compliance with evolving security standards across hardware platforms.

You will collaborate with hardware design, firmware, and product teams, translating complex security requirements into actionable engineering tasks and driving multiple parallel security initiatives within a hybrid Raleigh-based role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE/CE/CS with 7+ years of relevant experience
• Background in hardware development incl. schematics, PCB design or review
• Knowledge of RoT, Secure Boot, cryptographic primitives and secure key storage
• Experience with hardware-rooted attestation architectures is a plus

Responsibilities

• System-to-Silicon security analysis of designs, schematics, and datasheets
• Translate Standards & Regulatory requirements (NIST, NSA CNSA, EU CRA)
• Provide architectural security guidance to cross-functional teams
• Document hardware security requirements, checklists, threat models, and specs
• Lead multiple concurrent security evaluations and reviews across programs
