Cisco in Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC is seeking a Hardware Security Engineer to help secure hyperscaler hardware platforms and architectures. You will analyze system-to-silicon security, translate standards into engineering guidance, and lead concurrent security/compliance workstreams across multiple hardware programs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a technical field and 7+ years of relevant experience, with strong background in hardware security fundamentals and cryptographic concepts.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field; 7+ years of relevant experience. Master’s with 4+ years or PhD with 1+ year as substitutions.
• Background in hardware development including reading schematics, block diagrams, datasheets, and PCB design/review.
• Experience with hardware security fundamentals: RoT, Secure Boot, resiliency, cryptographic primitives, and secure key storage.
• Familiarity with security standards such as NIST SP 800-193, NSA CNSA 2.0, EU CRA, and HW-CSDL.

Responsabilidades

• Assess system-level hardware designs to identify threat vectors, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.
• Translate standards into engineering guidance and develop actionable security requirements.
• Produce security requirements, checklists, threat models, and engineering specifications for multiple audiences.
• Manage concurrent security evaluations, design reviews, and compliance workstreams across hardware programs.
• Collaborate with product teams, hardware engineers, firmware teams, and vendors.
