Job summary

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Hyperscale Infrastructure Projects to lead the full lifecycle of data center infrastructure growth and execution. You will manage a portfolio exceeding $800M, directing engineering, procurement, design and construction activities while interfacing with executive stakeholders, Fortune 100 clients, developers and agencies.

The role requires strong leadership, risk management, and a track record of delivering complex projects

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; master’s preferred.
Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience, including 7+ years in transmission/substation project management.
Professional Engineering License (PE) or PMP is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Directs multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, finance, economic development, real estate and project communications to deliver large-scale energy projects.
Establishes priorities and ensures alignment with the Cooperative’s strategic objectives.
Provides ongoing mentorship and training for new recruits, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Leads meetings with utilities, developers, contractors, attorneys, and consultants to remove obstacles and ensure project success.
Ensures compliance with transmission owner/operator requirements, PJM, NERC and all regulations.
Allocates resources, manages risks, and implements mitigation strategies.
