Job summary

Rowan Digital Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Manager to lead our data center electrical design team in support of projects across our portfolio. This role focuses on strategy, design, and deployment of hyperscale electrical infrastructure, delivering high-quality outcomes for fast-paced programs.

The ideal candidate is a Licensed Professional Engineer with 10+ years in data center design, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years’ overall experience with 5+ years’ of technical data center design and delivery experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Experience delivering complex electrical projects through design, construction, commissioning, and operation.
• Experience working with external stakeholders including AHJ’s and utilities.
• Experience communicating with senior leaders and executives at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of data center industry and trends.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, and highly cross-functional environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience of proficiency in ETAP, MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, REVIT, GIS, and Bluebeam Revu.

Responsibilities

• Lead hyperscale turnkey data center strategy, design, and deployment.
• Own data center electrical standardization on a company and client level.
• Engage with hyperscale clients to document requirements and relay them to the design lead.
• Serve as Technical SME in commercial negotiations for leases, SLAs, and exhibits.
• Lead internal and external teams to decisions and outcomes.
• Direct and manage consultants in design, procurement, construction and implementation of data center infrastructure.
• Mold design, project scope, schedule, and deliverables to meet requirements.
• Partner with procurement to deliver equipment for Rowan projects.
• Support RFPs for electrical infrastructure design, construction, and operations.
• Demonstrate customer-first mentality with utilities and clients.
• Mentor the engineering team to grow expertise.
• Support other technical tasks as needed.
