Job summary

Meta is seeking an experienced Cloud Production Systems Engineer to join the Data Center Operations team. You will identify systemic issues in the cloud server fleet, develop automation tooling, and drive uptime through data-driven repair workflows at hyperscale.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with distributed teams, and travel up to 25% to support global deployments and new sites. A strong background in Python, Bash, C/C++, and Linux at scale is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/engineering.
• 7+ years in production systems or data-center engineering.
• 7+ years with hardware lifecycle management and fleet automation.
• Experience developing automation tooling in Python/Bash/C/C++ for Linux at scale.
• Experience with production systems configuration including web servers, load balancers, databases, storage and messaging.
• Ability to communicate technical designs and decisions through documentation and cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes across the cloud server fleet and drive resolutions to maximize uptime.
• Write, review, and maintain code for diagnostic and cloud automation tooling.
• Own and develop diagnostic tooling requirements for frontline operations.
• Drive escalation processes for complex cloud tooling and hardware issues.
• Validate new cloud product integrations into production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional tooling teams to influence roadmaps.
• Perform data analysis to prioritize automation opportunities for server repair workflows.
• Build cross-functional relationships and influence policies for global data center operations.
• Mentor engineers on improving tools and operational processes.
• Travel up to 25% to support global data center operations.
