Job summary

Garver Engineering in Houston, TX seeks a Project Manager for Hydrology and Hydraulics to lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for municipal and DOT projects. Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in civil engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program with emphasis in water resources engineering.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • 7+ years in consulting/design.
  • 2+ years in engineering project management.
  • Advanced hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design knowledge.
  • Proficiency with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS; 2D modeling preferred.
  • Experience with GIS applying to H&H modeling and design.
  • Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, GEOPAK, OpenRoads or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Prior consulting experience focusing on hydrology and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design for municipal and DOT clients.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design engineers and manage subconsultant coordination.
  • Schedule projects and tasks and oversee plan production.
  • Prepare cost estimates and maintain ongoing client interaction.
  • Lead project teams and contribute to business development and marketing efforts.
  • Mentor junior staff and ensure quality of technical deliverables.
