Job summary

Garver is seeking a Project Manager to lead hydrology and hydraulics initiatives within the Transportation Team in North Little Rock, Arkansas. You will collaborate with clients and design engineers on municipal, state, and federal projects, overseeing scope, budget, and schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, 7+ years of relevant experience, and strong skills in HEC-HMS/HEC-RAS, GIS, and hydraulic modeling, with excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in civil engineering or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program with emphasis in water resources engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant consulting and design experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering project management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design.
  • Advanced experience with HEC software such as HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.
  • Experience with two-dimensional hydraulic modeling (preferred).
  • Experience with GIS software and applications to hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, analysis, and design.
  • Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, GEOPAK, OpenRoads, or other design software (a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on hydrology and hydraulics projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work with an established team to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design for municipal and DOT clients across Garver's footprint.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design engineers.
  • Manage, market, and coordinate subconsultants; schedule projects and tasks; provide plan production oversight; prepare cost estimates; and interact with clients.
