Job summary
Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist/Geologist/Engineer to support its Supply & Hydrogeology team in Texas. This hybrid role combines desk-based analysis with occasional fieldwork, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with clients and regulators on groundwater supply, carbon sequestration, and injection well projects across the United States.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in subsurface characterization, reservoir modeling, and regulatory compliance, with 10+ years
Qualifications
- Level of education and 10+ years of related experience required.
- Experience with CCS project development and regulatory frameworks preferred.
- Licensed professional geologist/geoscientist or PE is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Provide hydrogeologic and subsurface support for projects.
- Interpret geologic data and support regulatory compliance for UIC/CCS.
- Review work by junior staff and guide methods and reporting.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients and regulators.
