Job summary
Black & Veatch seeks a Senior Hydrogeologist/Geologist/Engineer to join our Supply & Hydrogeology team in Texas, with projects nationwide. This desk‑based role emphasizes subsurface analysis, groundwater modeling, and carbon sequestration, with occasional travel.
You'll mentor junior staff, lead cross‑functional teams, and collaborate with regulators and clients to deliver safe, sustainable water resources solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, Hydrogeology, Earth Science or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant geology/hydrogeology experience with project leadership.
- Licensed Professional Geologist/Geoscientist or Professional Engineer.
- Experience with CCS, aquifer storage, groundwater modeling, and regulatory knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Provide hydrogeologic and subsurface characterization for diverse projects.
- Evaluate geologic/hydrogeologic data and support regulatory compliance.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients/regulators.
- Mentor junior staff and ensure quality of technical work.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Present findings to clients and stakeholders.
