Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist/Subsurface Specialist to support our Texas-based Supply & Hydrogeology team. The role emphasizes water resources, groundwater modeling, and regulatory compliance across multiple states.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in subsurface analysis, reservoir concepts, and CCUS, with leadership experience mentoring junior staff and coordinating cross-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, or related field is required.
• 10+ years of experience in geology/hydrogeology with project leadership.
• Licensure as a Professional Geologist/Geoscientist preferred or required.
• Strong subsurface evaluation and regulatory knowledge desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide hydrogeologic and carbon sequestration support for diverse projects.
• Evaluate geologic data and interpret hydrogeologic results.
• Support permitting and regulatory compliance (UIC/CCS).
• Review work by junior staff and mentor engineers/scientists.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients and regulators.
• Present findings to clients and contribute to proposals.
