Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist for mining projects across North America. You will lead site investigations, develop conceptual models, and guide teams to deliver high-quality data and recommendations.

The role blends fieldwork, data analysis, and client collaboration within a flexible hybrid work environment. You will oversee hydrogeologic investigations, evaluate groundwater interactions, and contribute to mine planning and closure studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrogeology, Hydrology, or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Strong ability to interpret data, identify and address data gaps, and communicate findings.
• Ability to establish project objectives, scope Arcadis work, and build teams.
• Experience conducting hydrogeologic investigations at mine sites.
• Advanced degree in Hydrogeology, Hydrology, or related field.
• Proficiency interpreting geologic conditions, aquifer hydraulics, water level data.
• Experience contaminant fate and transport analyses.
• Experience evaluating groundwater-surface water interactions.
• Support mining clients across project phases.
• Familiarity with inorganic/metals chemistry.
• Modeling software AQTESOLV, MODFLOW, Groundwater Vistas, HEC Software.
• Understanding environmental regulations to mining projects (NEPA, CERCLA, state programs).

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct hydrogeologic investigations for mining projects.
• Develop conceptual site models and groundwater flow analyses.
• Coordinate data collection, reporting, and client communications.
• Travel up to 10% as required.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and project teams.
