Job summary

CDM Smith in South Florida seeks a Senior Hydrogeologist to direct groundwater systems and water resources projects across the region. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, develop scopes for drilling and testing, and prepare technical reports and proposals for clients and regulators.

The role requires a PhD-level understanding? No; a Bachelor’s degree plus a PE/GEO license and 10 years of related experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science or related discipline.
Licensed Professional Geologist (ASBOG) required.
10 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Direct water resources projects and groundwater systems in South Florida.
Coordinate with civil, process mechanical, hydraulics, electrical and I&C disciplines.
Prepare reports, letters, drawings, specifications and proposals.
Ensure firm policies are followed on all work documents.
Develop technical scopes for drilling, sampling and aquifer testing.
Contribute to knowledge management with white papers and designs.
Engage with clients, regulatory agencies and industry groups.
Assist sales with proposals in response to client requests.
Guide and train junior staff; mentor for growth.
May supervise junior staff on projects.
