Alabama Power is seeking a Project Manager – Level 6 to manage Hydro Capital Projects across APC Hydro plants. Responsibilities include scope, budget, implementation plans, and schedules with strong project controls, located at Logan Martin dam, Lay dam, or APC Corporate HQ, with frequent travel to sites.

Ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering and extensive project management experience in engineering, procurement, construction, startup, and contractor coordination; power plant experience is a

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience in project management for engineering, procurement, construction and/or startup.
• Ability to manage outside contractor resources.
• Leadership directing activities of direct reports or a team.
• Power plant experience is a plus.
• Experience with managing project scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Experience with performance management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all project management aspects of the Hydro Capital Projects at APC Hydro plants.
• Oversee scope, budget, implementation plan, and schedule for each site.
• Maintain appropriate project controls throughout the project.
• Travel to plant sites (Logan Martin dam, Lay dam, or APC HQ) with frequent travel.
• Report to the APC Modernization Program Manager.
