Job summary

Alabama Power seeks a Project Manager – Level 6 to lead Hydro Capital Projects at APC Hydro plants. You will supervise engineering, procurement, construction, startup, and project controls across sites, defining scope, budget, and schedules to meet objectives.

The role reports to the Modernization Program Manager and requires frequent travel to Logan Martin dam, Lay dam, and corporate HQ. Strong leadership and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience in project management for engineering, procurement, construction and startup.
• Ability to manage outside contractor resources.
• Leadership role directing activities of direct reports or a team.
• Power plant experience is a plus.
• Experience with managing project scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Experience with performance management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all PM aspects of Hydro Capital Projects across APC Hydro plants.
• Manage scope, budget, implementation plan and schedule for each site.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Ensure project controls and startup activities are completed on time.
