Job summary

STV, Inc. in Raleigh, NC seeks a Hydraulics Senior Engineering Specialist within our Transportation Group to lead drainage design on AD projects and supervise design teams.

You will coordinate subconsultants, ensure code compliance, and mentor staff; PE license preferred and 10+ years of experience. The role offers a path for leadership and professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive Hydrologic and Hydraulic Design experience on AD Transportation Projects in the South Region.
• Experience as Discipline Lead, Sub-Discipline Lead, or Deputy Lead on projects of varying size and complexity.
• Experience acting as a client liaison and delivering drainage designs for municipalities and DOTs.

Responsibilities

• Function as Sub-Discipline Lead on AD projects, guiding the technical group.
• Plan, direct, and supervise design team work with manpower and budget accountability.
• Lead engineers and design staff in technical excellence and growth.
• Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary studies and analyses.
• Ensure compliance with codes and provide PE seal where required.
• Prepare material/equipment specifications and coordinate subconsultants.
• Maintain professional society affiliations and help with budgeting staffing.
• Perform other administrative and technical duties as needed.
