Job summary

STV is seeking a Hydraulics Engineer to join our Atlantic practice, with a hybrid role based in South Carolina. The ideal candidate will lead stormwater drainage design, perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and coordinate with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality transportation drainage projects.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering and SC PE licensure (multi-state licensure a plus). The position offers benefits and growth within STV’s Water Resources Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• MS degree in Engineering is a plus.
• SC PE licensure is required; multi-state licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare Storm Water Management Reports and culvert/bridge hydrologic & hydraulic studies.
• Independently prepare and submit stormwater permit documentation.
• Lead drainage projects as Engineer of Record as directed by senior staff.
• Provide design services for storm drains, culverts, stormwater management, and ESD/LID facilities.
• Coordinate design development and mentor junior staff.
• Ensure quality deliverables within schedule and budget.
• Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
