Job summary

Dewberry Engineers Incorporated is seeking a Senior Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineer to join our Resilience Solutions Group in Denver, CO. This role focuses on advanced hydraulic modeling, flood risk analysis, and riverine systems to support federal, state, and local projects.

You will lead technical work, develop scalable workflows, mentor junior staff, and contribute to probabilistic approaches and cloud-enabled modeling.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in hydraulic engineering and river modeling.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience calibrating large-scale watershed and river models across multiple watersheds.
• Proficiency with HEC-RAS, SWMM and GIS workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic analyses for municipal, state, and federal projects.
• Develop and validate one- and two-dimensional river models and floodplain analyses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated project delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in modeling.
