Job summary

Dewberry Engineers Incorporated seeks an experienced Senior Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineer to join our Resilience Solutions Group in Orlando. You will lead hydraulics, floodplain analysis, flood risk assessment, and water resources planning with an emphasis on innovative modeling workflows for diverse clients, including federal, state, and local agencies.

Qualifications

BS/MS/PhD in Civil or Water Resources Engineering or related field.
10+ years of experience in hydraulic engineering and river modeling.
Experience with HEC-RAS, SWMM, and GIS workflows.

Responsibilities

Lead hydraulic modeling efforts for municipal, state, and federal projects.
Develop innovative flood risk analysis approaches to meet project needs.
Perform 1D/2D modeling of riverine systems, floodplains, bridges and hydraulics.
Evaluate river hydraulics, sediment transport, channel stability under varying conditions.
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in modeling and QA.
Advance probabilistic and risk-informed methodologies for flood hazard assessment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated projects.
